Colin Montgomerie, who dropped two shots in his first eight holes this morning, birdied his long ninth and now is seven under par after 11 holes.

He is joined on seven under by Anthony Wall and Gary Evans - all one shot behind Thomas Bjorn who has played 32 holes to date, two more than Wall and Montgomerie and seven more than Evans.
