American, Stewart Cink and the South African player, Retief Goosen share

the lead after day three of the US Open at the Southern Hills course in

Oklahoma.

The pair top the leader board on five under par just one shot

ahead of Rocco Mediate, Sergio Garcia and Mark Brooks with Phil Mickelson

a further shot back on three under par.

Tiger Woods took advantage of the fact that he made the cut to complete

his best round of the tournament so far, a 69 left him on four over par

with a share of 23rd place alongside Ireland's Padraig Harrington and several

others.

Harrington is best placed of the two Irish players after he carded

a one over par 71 on the third round of the competition.

Darren Clarke is now on plus six and tied for 35th position after his third day.
