Golf: Three-way tie for early lead at English Open

Ian Poulter, Constantino Rocca and Steen Tinning on two under par are tied for the early lead at the English Open.

Meanwhile, Darren Clarke is going for a hat-trick of English Opens and former winners Lee Westwood and Colin Montgomerie are also in the field after changing their minds about building up to next week’s US Open by playing in Memphis this week.

Montgomerie could not play in the pro-am yesterday because of a back problem, but was fully expecting to tee off with Clarke and Welshman Phillip Price this afternoon.
