Golf: Seve Trophy comes to Druids Glen

Druid's Glen will stage the Seve Ballesteros Trophy in April of next year, in a major coup for the Wicklow course and Bord Failte.

The Ryder Cup-style tournament will see Ballesteros captaining defending champions Continental Europe, with Colin Montgomerie at the helm of the British and Irish team.

Qualifying for the competition began with the Open de Espana last month, and will conclude on March 31, 2002.
