This miracle wedge by Shane Lowry has been voted shot of the year

Shane Lowry’s miracle wedge shot on the final hole of the WGC Bridgestone Invitational has been named 2015 European Tour Shot of the Year.

European Tour fans were voting throughout December and nearly a quarter of all votes were for Lowry’s winning shot at Firestone Country Club. The Offaly man’s overcame competition from the likes of Rory McIlroy, Miguel Ángel Jiménez and Patrick Reed to win the award.

“It’s a huge honour to win European Tour Shot of the Year, it’s a shot I will never forget,” Lowry told europeantour.com.
