Shane Lowry secured his place in next month’s US Open with another superb display at the BMW PGA Championship.

Lowry arrived at Tour Headquarters lying 55th on the World Rankings and needing to finish inside the top-50 to secure his place at Chambers Bay.

The Carton House pro has done that on the back of rounds of 74, 67, 67 and 69 for a share of sixth on 11-under par.
