Sojourn to savour in golfing heaven

You don’t need to travel through Ireland to get to Scotland. But that only begs the question: Why wouldn’t you?

No reason, so far as my mind could determine, so to ease into the week’s assignment to cover the 40th Ryder Cup at Gleneagles, the decision was made months ago to spend three days enjoying the great links of Ireland.

If not for one slight problem, it could have been considered a totally brilliant move. The slight problem? That we didn’t make it four days, or five, or more.
