Three teenagers yesterday steered Killarney brilliantly into this morning’s (10 o’clock) final of the AIG Irish Women’s Senior Cup at Mount Wolseley, Co. Carlow.

Caitriona Griffin, 17, Mairead Martin, 14, and Valerie Clancy, 13, led from the front as Killarney defeated Co. Sligo in the quarter-final and Elm Park in the semi-final with the minimum of difficulty.

Killarney, who have never won the title, now meet Laytown & Bettystown, who reached the decider by winning an exciting semi-final by 3-2 against Kilkenny.
