Tramore red-hot but Doneraile eyeing an upset

Given there is invariably little between the teams at this stage of the various AIG Irish Cups and Shields competitions, it is not surprising the bookmakers have struggled to separate the qualifiers for this weekend’s Munster semi-finals and finals of the Senior and Junior Cups and Barton Shield at Shannon Golf Club.

Tramore have been installed 6/4 favourites for tomorrow’s Senior Cup but Limerick are right on their heels at 7/4, with the expectation that they will progress to meet in the afternoon decider.

Before that, however, Tramore will have to account for a Doneraile side who have impressed in inter-club tournaments. Limerick, for their part, are unlikely to be complacent about the challenge presented by Castlemartyr, who are quoted at 7/2.
