Adare wins another course honour
The internationally acclaimed 18-hole Championship Course is a world favourite and has hosted the JP McManus Invitational Pro Am and the Irish Open.
The course was opened in 1995, set amid magnificent mature trees and incorporating many aquatic features including a 14-acre lake anchoring the front nine holes and the River Maigue, which meanders alongside the course.
The course record of 64 was shot by Lee Westwood during the 2008 Irish Open. The course measures 7,453 yards (the shortest route round amounts to 5,082 yards) over 230 acres.
Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort general manager Anita Higgins, said: “We are very proud of our course and the team at Adare Manor ensure that it is always at its best. This reflects the ethos of unparalleled excellence of service and facilities across the whole resort.”
