Pádraig Harrington suffered a meltdown on the final day of the Travellers Championship last night, finishing his final round in 80 — 10 over par.

Harrington falls apart on final day

After rounds of 66, 66 and 72 in the first three days had the Dubliner right in contention, his game collapsed yesterday, finishing the tournament four over.

Eight bogeys and a double bogey seven at the par-five 13 saw him tumble down the leaderboard.

Meanwhile, Brooks Koepka claimed his third title of the season on the European Challenge Tour, and with it automatic promotion to the European Tour, after a battling three-shot victory at the Scottish Hydro Challenge.

Robin Dawson was the best of the Irish in the prestigious Sir Henry Cooper Young Masters tournament over the Nizels course in Kent at the weekend.

The Faithlegg teenager finished on one over, seven strokes adrift of winner Matty Lamb of Hexham.
