Kinsale is Munster club of the year

Kinsale Golf Club received the Munster Club of the Year award at the recent Munster Branch GUI AGM.

The award was in recognition of the club’s successful hosting of the All-Ireland Cups and Shields finals at their Farrangalway course in September.

The club received huge praise for the excellent running of the national finals and also received plaudits for the condition of the course from the participating clubs.

The receipt of the accolade also marks the culmination of a memorable centenary year for the club.

In May, the club hosted the ILGU, Munster Ladies Senior Inter-Club final and a first ever Pro-Am was held in July when 48 teams participated, with a significant donation going to Crumlin Hospital.
