An ailing Rory McIlroy will be looking to the horizon and hoping continuing Singapore storms abate just long enough to leave the way clear for him to secure the Race to Dubai title.

Three separate storm delays over two days in the Barclays Singapore Open has not only clouded this year’s event but with the title sponsor ending it’s association tomorrow there’s also real uncertainty of any new dawn in the co-sanctioned event.

McIlroy is among half the field to have played just half of their second round with the other half of the 156-player event, including Pádraig Harrington and Peter Lawrie, yet to commence their second round.
