Poulter’s five closing birdies late on Saturday to give himself and Rory McIlroy a one-up victory over Zach Johnson and Jason Dufner will go down as one of the greatest one-man show in European Ryder Cup history. Rory McIlroy admitted he was simply along for the ride.
