Snedeker to aid good causes with jackpot

There will be those who think that £7million for winning a golf tournament is simply obscene.

But American Ryder Cup newcomer Brandt Snedeker, the latest man to hit the jackpot, intends to give a lot of it to good causes after his Tour Championship and FedEx Cup double in Atlanta.

Snedeker also did his bit to boost the home team’s confidence for this week’s match in Chicago, pushing Justin Rose into second place in the tournament and denying Rory McIlroy the £6million bonus from the end-of-season play-offs.
