McGinley didn’t need to be asked twice in a move many believe will keep the Dubliner to the forefront when Olazabal’s successor is named early next year.

McGinley believes Europe can draw on the euphoria generated by the 2012 Olympics for their Ryder Cup tilt in the sports mad environment of Chicago.
