Turner primed for Spain test

NIALL TURNER flies into Spain today to prepare for what he describes as the biggest pressure week of the professional golfing year.

Turner primed for Spain test

The Corkman will join 183 fellow European Tour hopefuls putting themselves through the wringer at four courses close to the Mediterranean from Friday for the second stage of the dreaded Q School, with participants bidding to reach the final stage next month and within reach of a coveted tour card.

University of Minnesota graduate Turner, whose home club is Muskerry, knows the trials and tribulations Q School can deliver, having been there seven times before, four of them for the US PGA Tour. This year he will arrive at El Valle in Murcia armed with the winning experience of earning his Asian Tour card earlier this year.
