McIlroy’s Shanghai win ‘has silenced critics’

GRAEME McDOWELL feels Rory McIlroy’s victory in Shanghai may have silenced a few of his critics.

McIlroy had not won a tournament since destroying the field at Congressional to land the US Open and the youngster admitted he would like to stand on top of the winner’s podium a lot more in the future.

The Northern Irishman has also been criticised in the media for switching his management company from Andrew ‘Chubby’ Chandler to Dublin-based Horizon Sports, while a few fellow pros also raised their eyebrows at the news.
