PÁDRAIG HARRINGTON had a challenge making his first round tee time yesterday but he faces a considerably bigger test this evening as he tries to make the halfway cut at the 93rd PGA Championship.

The three-time Major champion, winner of the Wanamaker Trophy in 2008 at Oakland Hills, posted an opening three-over-par 73 in the punishing heat at Atlanta Athletic Club yesterday. He had come into the final Major of the year with plenty on his mind after parting with long-time swing coach Bob Torrance following a missed cut at the Irish Open two weeks ago.

Yet he had other concerns ahead of his 8:35am local time round alongside Tiger Woods and Davis Love III — he could not find a toilet.
