Love-struck McIlroy considers US return

RORY McILROY last night revealed he has had a change of heart about America and is likely to take up his PGA Tour membership again — and admits changes in his personal life have been a big factor.

The 22-year-old US Open champion played the American circuit last season but then gave it up because he was missing Europe too much.

But on the eve of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio, his first event in the States since his Major breakthrough at the Congressional County Club outside Washington DC in June, McIlroy revealed that he is going to look at making a base in Florida.
