Awards keep coming for Clarke

DARREN Clarke has been named the European Tour’s golfer of the month for July after winning his first major title at the age of 42 at the Open.

He triumphed by three shots at Sandwich from Americans Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson to become the oldest holder of the Claret Jug since Roberto de Vicenzo in 1967.
