Monaghan man Gerry Mulligan positioned himself in the new grandstand behind the first tee box at 8am. “I wanted to see how they were hitting the ball and to see if there were any nerves. There was a few tweaking the ball left so the extra 27 yards on the first clearly has made a difference.
