Paddy escapes disqualification
Harrington was in contention for an even higher finish but consecutive bogeys ended his faint chances. Instead, he then loaded into a cart with playing partner Phil Mickelson to head back to the 13th to see if they could determined where he teed off.
Harrington teed up for the 13th, then moved back because he was worried he was ahead of the markers. But a spectator informed a marshal he thought Harrington teed off too far forward.
However, TV replays were inconclusive.
Harrington says the PGA Tour decided it was his decision and he was certain he teed up behind the marker.
He was disqualified from the Abu Dhabi championships already this year for signing the wrong score on his card.
