IAN POULTER is doing all he can to combat allergies — to the extent of having no carpets in his new Florida home.

The Ryder Cup star suffers from asthma and hay fever and recent tests showed that he was affected by virtually all types of grass and many trees.

“It’s an occupational hazard,” said Poulter, who plans an injection before heading to The Masters at Augusta in two weeks because of the pollen there. I’m also not having any carpet in the new house. It collects dust so I had wooden floors put in.
