McDowell the unanimous choice for top award

US OPEN champion Graeme McDowell, his Rathmore clubmate Alan Dunbar; Danielle McVeigh from Royal Co Down and Bill Gibson from the Curragh have been chosen for their annual awards by the Irish Golf Writers Association.

MCDOWELL’S many achievements throughout a stellar 2010 have been well chronicled by now and, not surprisingly, the US and Wales Open champion, winner also of the Andalucia Masters and the Chevron World Challenge and the man who holed the decisive putt for Europe in the Ryder Cup, was a unanimous choice.
