McDowell has Kaymer firmly in sights

THEY’RE both from the North of Ireland, they’re both members of the Horizon Sports Management team – and they’ll be playing together in the last match on the course in today’s third round of the Andalucia Masters.

US Open champion Graeme McDowell yesterday shot a splendid round of 67 to move to seven under in the €3m tournament and is two clear of nearest rival Gareth Maybin, who has performed outstandingly well for two sub-70 scores and a five under par aggregate.

Overall, it has so far been a hugely successful tournament for the eight strong Irish contingent.
