McIlroy ready for home comforts
The 21-year-old, who has been in the process of re-correcting his golf swing since helping Europe to an unforgettable Ryder Cup victory at Celtic Manor, will get down to some serious work with his coach Michael Bannon this week following his foray onto the European Challenge Tour at last week’s Egyptian Open.
McIlroy admitted that his first round performance at the JW Marriott Mirage City Golf Club in Cairo last week was “the worst I have ever hit the ball as a professional” but by the end of the week was seeing signs of improvement.
