Another timely lift for Lowry

TWELVE months and a week after he captured the ‘3’ Irish Open while still an amateur, Shane Lowry is creating a nice little nest egg at the age of 23.

Having turned professional a few weeks after his famous victory at Baltray, Lowry banked €144, 843 by the end of 2009 and this year has added another €148,542 to stand 54th in the Race to Dubai order of merit.
