Tiger lauds Harrington as great role model

TIGER WOODS has praised Pádraig Harrington’s work ethic and believes the Irishman is a great role model for youngsters.

World number one Woods emerged victorious from a thrilling encounter with three-time major winner Harrington on Sunday as he won his seventh World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Ohio.

The American will face the Dubliner again on Thursday and Friday this week at Hazeltine National in Minnesota when Woods attempts to win his fifth US PGA Championship at the defending champion Harrington’s expense having been paired together with 2002 Hazeltine winner Rich Beem for the opening two rounds of the year’s final major.
