McIlroy has the ‘perfect technique’

GERMAN golf legend Bernhard Langer has singled out Rory McIlroy for special praise after playing the opening two rounds of the BMW International Open in the company of the young Irishman.

Langer, who is 30 years McIlroy’s senior, carded a 68 to move to eight under par while McIlroy carded a 67 to end the day on six under par and six shots adrift of South African Retief Goosen, who battled biting insects to card a 68 and lead by a shot on 12-under par.

Goosen turned up in a lime green cap and similar coloured shirt that attracted the insects. He later swapped his cap and covered up his top with a blue rain top.
