Top amateurs set for Ladies Irish Open

TWENTY ELEVEN, in association with the Ladies European Tour and the Ladies Golf Union, have completed a unique arrangement that will enable the top nine amateur golfers from Great Britain and Ireland to play in this year’s AIB Ladies Irish Open, (Portmarnock, June 26-28).

Top amateurs set for Ladies Irish Open

All nine members of the team selected for the Vagliano Trophy on June 15 will be invited to play in the Irish Open as part of the team’s preparation for the matches against the Continent of Europe in July, under team captain, Mary McKenna.

There is a possibility several Irish amateurs could qualify for the Vagliano Team including Lisa and Leona Maguire and Danielle McVeigh who have been showing good form recently.
