Attention to detail: Ryder Cup party gets into full swing

THE players earn nothing from the Ryder Cup but they sure get paid a hell of a lot of attention.

Yesterday it was photo-shoots and tonight the gala dinner, the golf is still days away but the Ryder Cup festival is already in full swing.

The players arrived into town on Monday but the class of 2008 waited until dawn yesterday to get their first taste of Valhalla and shoot their opening practice rounds.
