SOME 127 junior handicap golfers competed in the first round of the Munster Ladies Championships in glorious sunshine at Dooks Golf Club on Tuesday with the seniors qualifying on yesterday.

The matchplay takes place in both junior and senior today, with the semi-final and final matches tomorrow.

Liz Gray (Tralee), was the leading qualifier with Margaret Campion (Killarney) 2nd and Anne Mernagh (Woodenbridge) 3rd.
