O’Keeffe gets into swing of things with first US win

PETER O’KEEFFE has seen the decision to reconstruct his swing pay dividends with a maiden victory in US collegiate golf.

O’Keeffe, from Douglas GC in Cork, has been working with coach Rob Aiken for much of his spell at South-Eastern Louisiana University, which was capped with a victory in the final tournament before the winter break.

It was the 24-year-old’s first individual tournament win in the States and it came last month when he tied for first at the University of Texas San Antonio Invitational event, the Roadrunner Classic.
