Woosie aims to show team unity

IF THE American team room is oozing with bonhomie, camaraderie and good vibes, European captain Ian Woosnam went a long way yesterday to counter any suspicion that things were different in any way among his players.

Fears that Woosnam was standing in splendid isolation from his players, were roundly knocked on the head by the diminutive Welsh man.

In fact, at pains to underline the unity of purpose of his men (and, where applicable, their wives and girlfriends) Woosie, it seems, has been doing a lot more work with his team than might appear to be the case.
