Hollystown free green fees for Ryder Cup

HOLLYSTOWN Golf Club, the 27-hole golf course located just seven minutes from Blanchardstown, is offering free green fees for three days during the Ryder Cup on September 22-24.

“We are opening our course, free of charge, to all golfers to celebrate what is truly a golden era for Irish golf, with the Ryder Cup taking place in Ireland and with three Irish players on the team,” said Ciarán Barry, Director of Golf at the Club.

“This offer is extended on a first come, first served basis, and all bookings should be made by calling the club on [phone] or on the Club website: www.hollystown.com.

“Eighty five per cent of golf courses around the country cost just €50 or under and do not receive due recognition. Only 5% of Irish golfers play on courses that charge €100 or more to play a round of golf. Golf clubs from Achill to Dungannon and Macroom to Swinford offer golfers great value all year round.

“Not enough is being done by the powers that be to highlight the fact that there is unbeatable value available to all Irish and visiting golfers,” said Barry.

Hollystown Golf Club will also extend the offer to golfers who had already booked a time for the weekend.
