Daly tops in Macroom

There was a close finish to the Dennehys Cross Bar senior scratch cup at Macroom as Monkstown seven handicapper Martin Daly held off the challenge of Muskerry pair Brian O’Riordan (2) and Ronan Twomey (scr) - all finishing on one under par 71.

The top trio in the nett section were John Corcoran (7) Muskerry 66, Noel McGuckin (6) Mallow 67 and Brian O’Donovan (5) Bandon 67.

Meanwhile at Muskerry, Raffeen Creek 11 handicapper Kelvin O’Sullivan went round in 79 to win the Lightplan Ltd intermediate scratch cup.
