Cowen and Manchip join GUI coaching staff

LEADING coach Peter Cowen and Neil Manchip, the head teaching professional to Leonard Owens at Royal Dublin, are both joining the GUI’s coaching team.

Cowen, a former European Tour player, and much sought after by many top players including Thomas Bjorn and Darren Clarke will have the role as consultant to the national panels and provincial coaches.

Manchip, a former winner of both the Irish Assistants and Irish PGA Championships, will combine his new role as national coach with his present teaching programmes and tournament schedule.

Cowen will conduct a seminar at Carton House on 28 and 29 April which be attended by Manchip, the provincial coaches and three Irish team captains - senior, youths and boys.
