CALLING on a wealth of experience, Nenagh came out on top in an all-Tipperary final to the BMW Irish Mixed Foursomes Munster final at Muskerry on Saturday, defeating Clonmel 3/2 in the decider.

It was the club’s first provincial pennant in the grade and at the presentation ceremony, Paddy Heffernan, who along with Bantry native Karen McGrath (nee Maguire), was team captain, said Muskerry was a happy hunting ground for Nenagh teams.

“It was there that we won the Munster final of the Jimmy Bruen Shield a few years back” he said “and we went on to win the All-Ireland on that occasion. Hopefully, we will be crowned national champions again this time.”
