Classy crean wins president’s prize

What a finish by Kinsale four handicapper Gerry Crean, winner of Robbie McCarthy’s president’s prize with 42 points.

He played the last four in three under par with birdies at 15 and 16, a bogey at 17 and a spectacular eagle at the par five last. His victory margin was two points over Tom Ahern, another four handicapper who scored 40 points (level par).
