Romero sets sights on unprecedented double

ARGENTINA’S Eduardo Romero is aiming to make history this week by becoming the first player to win on the European Tour and European Seniors Tour in the same season.

Romero completed the first leg of a possible double with a dominant eight-shot victory in the Travis Perkins Senior Masters at Wentworth on Sunday.

Now he will look to take that form into the BMW International Open in Munich and emulate American Craig Stadler, who remains the only player to have won on both the US Champions Tour and US PGA Tour - his victories coming on consecutive weeks during the 2003 season.
