Sergio wins Shot of the Month

Sergio Garcia's three wood to the 17th green during the Volvo Masters at Valderrama has won the Royal Bank of Scotland Shot of the Month Award for October.

The 24-year-old Ryder Cup star drilled his fairway wood to within 10 feet of the pin, having had to make a 232-yard carry over the water which guarded the front of the treacherous putting surface, to make birdie.

The Spaniard also receives €1,450, to be donated to a charity of his choice.
