Clarke heads Irish quartet in European top 20

IRELAND boasts four players in the top 20 in the European order of merit, two of whom are in the leading 15 in the world.

In Europe, Darren Clarke is 6th, Padraig Harrington 8th, Paul McGinley 13th and Graeme McDowell 16th. Harrington is also 8th in the world, Clarke 15th while McGinley is 64th.

Clarke, McGinley and McDowell certainly demonstrated their well being in the BMW International in Munich at the weekend when the Ryder Cup selection deadline overshadowed a fourth win of the season for Miguel Angel Jimenez and the achievement of Clarke and McGinley tying for 6th.
