EVEN in the rarefied atmosphere of professional golf, the albatross, three under par, is unusual.

Hole-in-one on a par four, two shots on a par five, it’s a very special achievement, newsworthy even in the biggest events. Imagine then how it must have felt for 17-handicapper Mylo Carey.

A native of Mallow, playing out of Rathsallagh, Mylo was the humble fourth in a very powerful fourball playing versus par in a recent competition in Milltown.
