Vijay Singh has been named the European Tour Golfer of the Month for April after winning back-to-back US Tour titles on the US Tour.

The Fijian an honorary member of the European Tour captured the Shell Houston Open and the HP Classic of New Orleans.

In the process, he moved to the top of the US Tour money list he won last season and significantly closed the gap on Tiger Woods at the top of the world rankings. He has a chance to become No 1 for the first time in the coming weeks.
