Calcavecchia wins Bell Canadian Open

Looking for his first win in four years, Mark Calcavecchia fired a one-over-par 71 in Sunday's final round and held on for a one-shot victory at the $5.5 million Bell Canadian Open.

Calcavecchia finished at five-under 275, one shot better than Ben Crane and Ryan Moore and with it he picked up his first victory since the Phoenix Open in 2001.

After consecutive rounds in the 60s to start the tournament, Calcavecchia found the going tough over the weekend at the Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club.He shot a birdie-free two-over 72 on Saturday as a comfortable five stroke lead was whittled to one.
