Volvo PGA prize fund at record €3.75m

THE prize fund for the 2004 Volvo PGA Championship will be a record €3.75m, the European Tour announced yesterday.

The winner of the tour's flagship event, taking place at Wentworth between May 27 and 30, will receive a prize of €625,000.

Last year's winner Ernie Els and 2003 US PGA Tour money list champion Vijay Singh have confirmed their participation.
