ULSTER swiped the Golfsure Boys’ Interprovincial Championship title from treble-chasing Munster with a whirlwind singles show at Warrenpoint yesterday.

The north and south provinces clashed on the last day with Munster sneaking into a 2-1 lead after the morning foursomes but, in the afternoon, the hosts pressed the power pedal to win the singles 5-1 for an overall 6-3 victory.

That meant that Ulster had beaten the other three provinces while Connacht pulled off a great four-and-a-half to four-and-a-half performance against Leinster.
