Mason edges closer to victoy

England's Carl Mason inched one step closer to winning a third consecutive European Seniors Tour Order of Merit title when he carded a four under par 68 after the first round of the Castellon Costa Azahar Open.

That score leaves him two shots out of the lead.

Cork's Denis O'Sullivan heads the Irish challenge on two under par 70. Northern Ireland's Eddie Poland is two shots further back on level par.
