Coughlan bids to go one better at Nairn

CLAIRE COUGHLAN, runner-up in the British Ladies Open matchplay championship at Littlestone in Kent in June, bids to go one better in the strokeplay event which gets underway at Nairn today in the north of Scotland.

The Cork star has been in splendid form lately and must be considered one of the favourites.

Tricia Mangan from Ennis and Beaverstown’s Martina Gillen are also in the strong line-up which includes nine members of the successful Vagliano Trophy team.
